Is A Bike Right For Me?

There are several reason one might choose a bike as their form of exercise.  The first reason would be the ease of use a bike provides to first time exercisers.  Often people are reluctant to try a treadmill or elliptical because they feel that they are out of shape and will get discouraged at their lack of endurance.  Another reason might be a previous injury to the knees, hips, or back that won’t allow them to use either the treadmill or elliptical.  The treadmill and elliptical may be too tough on the knees or back for someone to be able to use on a regular basis without experiences some pain and discomfort.  One other reason one might choose a bike over other forms of exercise is because he/she may already be using a bike at the gym or had success with using a bike at home in the past and they feel they would be more inclined to find success.  Finally, people often find that they exercise longer on a bike than any other piece of equipment because its easy to operate and doesn’t require a person to be experienced or in-shape to get immediate results.
